D.A.R.E

This term we had Constable Julie come into school and teach us about the D.A.R.E programme. D.A.R.E stands for Drugs, Alcohol Responsibility Education. She taught us about drugs, what the consequences and effects of drugs are and how to say no to them. Something interesting that I learnt was how many disgusting chemicals there are in cigarettes (over 4000). I also found it very interesting when Constable Julie showed us the cigarette in a bottle and how badly they affect our lungs. An important thing that she taught us was how to say no to drugs and the consequences of taking/dealing drugs.
